ABOUT OUR PRESIDENT
John Desautels knew he wanted to be a real estate guru from the time he was a teenager. At the age of 16, John became an avid reader and read books from Carnegie’s, “Think and Grow Rich,” to Trump’s, “Art of the Deal.” John immersed himself in every real estate publication and success package he could obtain. He studied various industry leaders’ techniques from Charles Givens to Carlton Sheets. He fell in love with real estate.
EDUCATION
John Desautels made a decision to take his educational future serious and obtained a degree in real estate.
John graduated with honors and completed 86 credit hours in real estate technical electives. John earned a:

WORK HISTORY
John hit the ground running after college. John joined forces with a fellow real estate leader to run
Premier Homes Publications. John was the manager of marketing & developed a small real estate ‘For Sale by Owner’ publication into a leader in the market of real estate “by owner” sales magazines.
John then created, “In the Neighborhood,” which was a rental apartment locator service which helped tenants with large pets find acceptable homes. The business was the first of its kind at the time.
John entered the mortgage banking arena in May of 1996. He went to work for a small upstart organization called AAA Mortgage & Financial. John was keenly aware than the mortgage industry was ready for a boom.
AAA Mortgage & Financial became CommonPoint Mortgage, and grew from 26 employees to 1700. John quickly rose through the ranks to become a senior loan officer.
RESPONSIBILITIES
John sold, processed and closed complex A-D non-conforming i.e. sub prime mortgage loans.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
John ranked within top 10 in the nation in loan production with Commonpoint for two consecutive years. John was considered by top company officials to be the best sales person in the company. John was transferred to Florida and promoted to branch manager in the beginning of 1998. As a branch manager, John recruited, trained, motivated and rewarded a growing successful sales force of thirteen employees before Commonpoint closed their doors in mid 1998. John decided to apply his industry knowledge and skills obtained into his own company and formed Mortgageloans.com.

RESPONSIBILIES
John owned and operated a very successful and widely respected niche market Internet based Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, conforming, and non-conforming correspondent lending corporation.
MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Our former company, Mortgageloans.com, proudly closed several thousand successful mortgage transactions throughout its history. Mortgageloans.com received numerous awards from investors for production and outstanding service. Mortgageloans.com routinely received cards with letters of gratitude for the wonderful customer service and attention to detail clients received. Mortgageloans.com offered far more than the traditional products available by other lenders. Mortgageloans.com included a full menu of ancillary services. Mr. Desautels used his advanced industry related education coupled with his Florida real estate brokers license to guide thousands of families through the home buying process. John often worked tirelessly well into the evening on contract negotiations. John had an excellent grasp on the numerous other hurdles encountered and that must be overcome in a real estate transaction. John handled a multitude of complex facets needed to run the company. He managed 14 full time employees while directly supervising 40 + closings a month. John had 160 + investors with whom he maintained relationships and possessed a detailed working knowledge of their programs. John routinely studied numerous trade publications from cross disciplines of mortgage banking, real estate, appraisal, & international emerging markets. John obtained a great grasp on a diversity of alternative lending vehicles like hard money, seller held financing and seller assisted financing. John worked on some of the most technically challenging loans encountered. Leading industry professionals as well as various financial institutions often turned to his guidance in consummating these transactions. Referral and repeat business accounted for the vast majority of Mortgageloans.com loan transactions.
